Valentine Dipped Pretzel Rods

Valentine Dipped Pretzel Rods – These fun and simple treats are made with only a few ingredients and they come out looking beautiful and taste delicious. Show someone how special they are with a homemade Valentine treat. Enjoy!

My son Josh and I love making these beautiful Valentine Pretzel Rods. We always have a lot of fun together in the kitchen and of course tasting all the toppings and melted chocolate was a real treat. The sweet and salty is the perfect combo. Use your imagination and add your own special touch. Switch up the sprinkles and colored chocolate for any occasion. These make lovely edible gifts for teachers, friends, neighbors and family members. They present beautifully in clear goody bags found at your local craft store with a ribbon tied around the top. Have fun making these. For more Valentine edible gift ideas, check these out! Pink and White Chocolate Fudge

Valentine Dipped Pretzel Rods

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag Wilton candy melts, we used pink
  • pretzel rods, we used Snyder’s 12 ounce bag
  • colored sprinkles, we used assorted Valentine sprinkles from the craft store
  • M&M candies

Directions:

  1. Place wax or parchment paper on two rimmed cookie sheets. Have your sprinkles ready to go in separate bowls.
  2. In a microwave safe deep bowl or glass measuring cup, melt candy melts according to package directions.
  3. Take one pretzel at a time and dip into melted chocolate. We went a little over halfway up. You may want to use a teaspoon or plastic spoon to help coat the pretzel. Gently shake off excess chocolate.
  4. Using a spoon, coat the chocolate with the sprinkles before it hardens. Add any other decorations at this time too.
  5. Place each coated pretzel on lined cookie sheet. When all are done, place in fridge for about 15 minutes. Take out and wrap up for gifts or for you and your family to enjoy.
