Apples make a fabulous side dish to any pork dinner. By enjoying the natural sweetness with just a pinch of honey it has not become a dessert but a healthy addition to your dinner.
- 4 apples (peeled, cored & sliced)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
- Melt butter in pan, then add the apples. Sauté for 10 minutes on medium until the apples begin to soften.
- Add honey, cinnamon and apple pie spice. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes until al dente. Depending on the apples you have chosen you may have to add water along the way. This will keep the apples moist and prevent them from sticking to the pan.
A great side dish to go along with our Cold Oven Pork Roast with Sauerkraut recipe!
