Easiest American Chop Suey

This delicious recipe for Easiest American Chop Suey has been passed down in my family for years. It’s now a staple in my house since my kids and husband love it so much. Bet your family will love this wonderful recipe too.

This dish has been called many names. American chop suey, goulash, and hamburger soup

This delicious recipe has been in my family for so many years.

We all love how comforting  it tastes.

It’s one of those recipes that’s so very easy to throw together in no time at all.

The mild tasting sauce from tomato soup gives this a most wonderful tasting dish.

There are so many versions around, but, we love this simple and easy one.

Also, there’s only a few ingredients and you have a comforting family meal that everyone will love.

I used ground beef this time but ground turkey and chicken work great too.

Serve with a favorite vegetable and salad for a well rounded meal. Or, add in some peas like I did for this recipe and enjoy with a big crusty bread to sop up every last drop of the yummy sauce.

Here’s one of our family traditions, this is the one dish both my kids ask to make them for dinner the night before school starts. School happens to be starting in two weeks here. My son is ready for his favorite meal. I promised lots of crusty bread to go with the American Chop Suey.

My daughter has long since moved out and is on her own but, she still loves this and when she comes home to visit this is the first thing I make for dinner.

Almost ready to put together

Ready to serve!

There’s only four simple steps…

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, have a large oven proof casserole dish misted with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Boil pasta as per package instruction. When finished, drain, put back in pot, cover with foil until ready to use.
