Pick Me Up Morning Smoothie

Yield: Approx. three 8 oz servings

Pick Me Up Morning Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium to large banana
  • 6 oz vanilla or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups calcium fortified orange juice
  • 1 1/4 cups frozen sliced strawberries (with no sugar, the ingredients on the bag should only have strawberries)
  • 2 tbsp ground flax meal
  • 1 tsp honey or agave nectar
  • 3-4 small ice cubes (optional – if you want it thicker, or water if you want smoothie to be thinner)

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in blender and whirl until smooth and creamy. That’s it!

It’s very fast and easy to put together and makes about 3 servings. My husband and daughter love this on busy week days. We all toast to a great day ahead!
